What makes midwifery care so unique? Ask those who have been cared for by midwives and you'll hear lots of different answers. One common thread is - the relationship.
By volunteering for Believe Midwifery Services, not only do you release some of the task oriented job responsibilities from the midwives so they can spend greater time directly with their clients, but you have an opportunity to join the amazing midwifery team and build relationships with our clients and the communities we serve.
The Nurse Midwife and Assistants with Believe Midwifery are a group of passionate, engaged professionals working hard to make a difference in Northern/Central Indiana, with grand vision of impacting women and children all over the globe. However because they lack a full staffed office as other medical practices or hospitals with larger budgets, they fail to complete many administrative tasks expected of their clientele. Midwives depend on volunteers to assist in coordinating the many tasks associated with a successful practice, just as each hospital and medical office depends on their own community volunteers.
Believe Midwifery is currently looking for motivated people seeking to improve maternal and child health, advance the profession of midwifery, and encourage our midwifery team.
Qualifications: The greatest expectation of a volunteer is a serving heart. It is not necessary that the volunteer be able to commit to a specific schedule or even volunteer within the office, as many tasks can be done from the privacy of your own home.
Volunteers will be asked to sign a confidentiality statement and respect the diversity of our clientele base.
