Penny Lane MSN, CNM and Holly Hopkins MSN, CNM are the two primary Nurse Midwives who care for each of the clients with Believe Midwifery Services, LLC. Penny is the practice owner and primary lactation consultant for the practice.
Dana Fort is our Office Manager and is the primary contact person for the hearing screen program, birth certificates and social security cards. She copies charts, provides FMLA and Short-term Disability paperwork to clients and manages client accounts. Dana is also a birth assistant and doula.
Keely Lane is our receptionist and medical assistant on Mondays and Thursdays. She greets clients and prepares them to meet with the midwives. Keely manages the lending library, tub rentals and typically is the voice you meet on the phone.
Rachel Claussen is a birth assistant and teaches prenatal nutrition and exercise. She is a birthing advocate and resource in the Lafayette area.
Heather Sutherland is a birth assistant and advocates for birthing women through efforts in educating both her community and our legislative leaders. If you would like to let your local hospital, legislative leader, practitioner, or whomever know of your homebirth experience, Heather is your resource.
Mindy Wolfe is a direct-entry midwife and works as a primary birth assistant. Mindy leads our childbirth education program, offering both a childbirth education series and private individual topical classes. She additionally co-leads the birth assistant course.
Kelly Davisson is a paramedic and midwife in training. She is a primary birth assistant and is eager to assist families in any way they may need. She too has hopes of joining the NRP teaching team.
January Gilley CLC is a passionate birth and breastfeeding advocate. She is a trained doula and certified lactation counselor. January is working towards her bachlor's in Lactation Counseling and currently is a member of her county's breastfeeding coalition and leader of her community's breastfeeding support group.
Sarah Miller has recently joined the Believe office staff to help us hurdle the challenges of the Medicaid program. She graciously accepted Dana's office manager position through her maternity leave and we're hoping we can convince her to stay in some compacity, following Dana's return.
